Poetry For Their Freedom Contest

Help Fight The World's Fastest Growing Crime

Join the Center for Women and Where Writers Win in supporting The A21 Campaign. Take up your pen to help fight human trafficking. Submit a poem on the theme of human trafficking and victims' restoration of hope. Help The A21 Campaign raise awareness and promote freedom for the 27 million enslaved around the world and in our own backyard.

Submissions accepted from May 15 - July 31, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. PST

All submissions must be made in English, and be unpublished, original and copyright-free work. We will consider nothing overtly sexual, violently graphic, or containing profanity. Please be respectful of the dignity of victims and survivors.

Please submit one poem per entry. An entrant is allowed a maximum of two entries.

Poems should not exceed 32 lines (including stanza breaks). This contest is to be blind-judged, so please do not include your name on the poem document, itself. The entry form will associate your poem and contact information. But in your cover letter, DO reference the name of your poem and its length. In the cover letter, you may also include a short bio.
